Lovely condo.

Our --adult family of 6 was absolutely comfortable in our condo (4 bathrooms!). There was glassware, flatware, and dishes for 12, which we found useful. Everything was first-rate and in excellent condition. The air conditioning was a huge plus as temperatures were warm. We enjoyed the balcony. Loved the view. We had no complaints.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Our favorite hike was Rabbit Ears.

Very Impressed

The condos were constructed in 2006 and very well maintained. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and comfort of the unit and the underground parking. We thought this was a great value!

Luxurious, but with a snag

The resort was great! We were very impressed with our room and service....until we had issues with our private hot tub and fireplace. Neither were working. Front desk said there wasn’t a manager on staff until Monday (it was Friday) and we’d have to wait. In the meantime, they were not usable. Monday comes, we check out...and they said they would have to figure something out and call us back. They never did. Still have not. That is the only part we are very disappointed in. We spent the extra money for the private amenities...that didn’t work.

Well appointed, Comfortable Condo

This place was the best in all my years of travelling to Steamboat. My family and I were amazed of what we got for the price. The three bedroom Condo unit was large and well appointed, the under ground parking for keeping out of the cold and snow was great. We were within walking distance to the slopes but no need, the shuttle runs every fifteen minutes or so. We will diffinately stay there again.

Overall, this is wonderful resort. The ammenities were fabulous, and the quick access to the Gondola was wonderful.

Reasonable

Not close enough to slopes to walk, but an excellent shuttle system that not only gets you to the slopes (a few blocks away) but takes you anywhere within Steamboat city limits. You won’t need a car. Helpful concierge. Rooms nice, not luxurious.

Steamboat Fun

Resort was slightly older condo complex but staff and services were great. 3 blocks from gondola square and 1 block from a grocery store. Room was clean with lots of towels and the kitchen had every utensil we needed. Would go back in a minute.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

If you are skiing 4 or more days you can buy a season pass in August which will actually save you money on day four!

Great Location, Great Hotel

We really enjoyed our time in this hotel/resort. The condo was really roomy. The beds were very comfortable. They furnished coffee, coffee filters, detergent, salt and pepper. Nice to not have to buy those things for the cooking and washing that we did while were were there. Only minus was no A/C in our unit (but not bad at all, even for July) and in the summer with the windows open, the traffic noise was bad in our unit. Probably would not matter in the winter, but for summer visitors, request one on the pool side or away from the road. It is a great place to stay.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

For summer travelers, there are open air concerts, rodeos, tubing, fishiing, miniature golf, movies, hikes, gondala rides, hot springs and more. Plenty to do for kids and lots of good shopping for moms.

A few problems

Our flight was cancelled the day we were to leave because of weather and the hotel would not let us out of our reservation. There were no flights available the next day. Expedia tried numerous times to help me, but the airlines and hotel continued to be uncooperative. The only solution was to take another airline to another connecting airport to get to Steamboat Springs, at my expense. Once there, the hotel was very nice with a great location especially with the Black Tie ski rental service right there, which I would highly recommend. The only other problem with the hotel is we requested a king size bed and did not get one. We got in the hotel very late so I was too tired and stressed to deal with anymore issues.

NIce Hotel

Our family of 5 stayed in Trappeur’s Crossing Our room was confortable and very cozy, and modern. We had 2 bedrooms, 1 den, 3 baths. The den had a private sliding door to close for privacy. It was hot during the day so we opened our windows at night & used 3 fans during the night, closed the windows in the morning and our room stayed cool during the day. The staff were very friendly also. The only problem was the condo construction across the street from our window, and the construction in the unit above our condo until 8:50 p.m. one night. We complained to the front desk. The construction on the street didn’t start until 7:00 a.m. & was done before we returned to our room. It is noisy in the mornings and during the day. We give this resort a thumbs up and next time will ask for a room facing the pool, or ask if construction is done.

Look in the lobby for restaurant guides and or brochures, coupon books. Some brochures have recommended restaurants with menu and prices. Also check restaurants for free newspapers with ideas for entertainment and specials going on. Find out where the Happy Hours that are family friendly, and offer 1/2 price meals.

great stay at Trappeurs

I highly reccommend this hotel. Very nice place, extremely nice and helpful staff, they made our stay even more enjoyable. The room (1 bedroom den) was very good, we were 3 adults with a baby and there were plenty of room for all of us. Nice and sunny balkony. Internet service in the room and also a good business centre in the main building with printer, fax - whatever you need; I had to work and was really pleased to see that everything is there. The only thing - the cleaning service could have been a bit better, otherwise it was really good. Great pools (both indoors and outdoors).

Fantastic Ski Vacation at Trappeur’s Crossing Resort

My family of four adults stayed at this two bedroom, two bath condominium on a ski trip to Steamboat Springs. We stayed in the Aspen Lodge at Trappeur’s Crossing Resort. It was an extremely clean, comfortable place to stay. We loved it and will definitely be back for another stay. There are constant taxi’s going back and forth to take people to the ski mountain. It is within walking distance of the ski mountain. It’s also very convenient to the Yampa Regional Airport, about a half hour drive away. The unit was exactly as pictured on their website.
