friendly clean hotel
Nice clean hotel with great rooms, location ideal, very happy with stay, suggest to improve breakfast food quality to more healthy selections such as fresh fruit, granola cereals, and yogurt and eliminate all the heavy bread selections. Treadmill is somewhat old and could use a flat screen TV in there instead. Otherwise great hotel, give it a 4.3 out of 5, would go back for sure

Sage Grill Restaurant in Custer very nice, dinner at Sylvan Lodge wonderful with fireplace, Custer has a great medical clinic we used with great Drs, excellent service, supposed to be best in the area

Great Comfort Inn with friendly service in Custer!
This is a cozy and nice Comfort Inn in a great location for visiting Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and other Black Hills attraction. The front desk help is very friendly and knowledgeable. I think we enjoyed our stay as much as we did because we knew we were staying in a friendly and well-kept hotel. For the most part, though, this is your standard Comfort Inn. Rooms are spacious, but nothing fancy. The free breakfast is nice, but simple. In the summer, expect the breakfast room to be filled with families. It’s anything buy quiet and relaxing! We had a view of the parking lot and the Flintstone’s park out our window, but rooms are quiet whether you’re facing the parking lot or the hill in back of the hotel. For what you get, the hotel is a bit overpriced, but we’d gladly stay there again.
Traveler's tip on dining
If you want organic wine, a nice meal with creative or vegetarian options, and a little ambiance, I recommend the Sage Creek Grill in Custer. Also, visit the Prairie Berry Winery in Hill City -- it’s lovely!
