Good deal overall
I booked my stay in Rimini in a rush, and then got worried over a negative review of this hotel I found on another site. Relax. Its a nice place with a VERY nice staff. Yes, the building is sixties, and the hallways still bear traces of the ubiquity of smoking that era. But the problem is totally fixed in the rooms, which are small but scrupulously clean, comfortable, and odor-free. When we were delayed by a train accident getting back to Rimini from an excursion to Venice and almost missed our flight home, the night concierge saved us. He did EVERYTHING to get us to the airport on time but pack our suitcases, volunteering more help than I would have dared ask for. What a sweet man!
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Expect to pay separately for beach access: its not a rip-off, its just the way its done on the Adriatic Riviera. I was there in early July and it wasnt too crowded at all - perhaps because the water is still cool. But the breeze is beautiful and the water is lovely, clean, and filled with life compared to Americas coasts.
