Billing Snafu
My trip was delayed by one day and since I prepaid for the room, it was for three days, I expected to still be able to check in and use the remaining two days at no additional cost. This was not the case, I had to pay, at the hotel’s rate, again for the remaining two days. This doesn’t make any since to me.

Extortionate fees for internet connections at Hilton Hotels
I have stayed at Hilton Dundee on three occasions, for periods ranging from two days to one week on the various occasions. The condition of the beds and rooms and treatment of staff are excellent. The breakfast buffet is also excellent. I have only one complaint, and it is serious enough for me that I won’t stay at Hilton Hotels in Europe in the future. During this trip, which lasted for thirty-three days and included stays in Italy, Scotland and England, in-room internet connections were available in all of the fifteen hotels we stayed at. In all but the two Hilton Hotels (the second being the Hilton Heathrow) WiFi or cable connections were part of the standard room rate. At the Hilton hotels the fee was 15 Sterling per day, whether for two hours or twenty-four, a not inconsiderable sum given the exchange rate for USA dollars. I consider it a grasping and extortionate policy for what has become an essential service for contemporary travelers. A moderate charge I wouldn’t mind paying, but 15 Sterling is grossly excessive. Consequently, I will not stay at a Hilton Hotel in the future.
