Good place to be in York
This hotel was centrally located for all of the York attractions. Easy access to public transport including the railway system. Sight seeing is always a pleasure in York except some attractions do contain long lines.

Great hotel in York
We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton in York. It was well located. We were able to get four people in a room (2 double beds), unlike any other place we stayed in England. The man at the front desk told us places to visit and where to eat and was very helpful. Parking was in the building and convenient.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
York is a great city. Full of history, and small enough that you can get a good feel for the place by walking around. The free 2 hour walking tour was excellent. The brewery tour was also interesting.

Most Impressed
I have stayed in Hilton’s outside the US and had not been impressed. This one surpassed my expectations for 4 star hotels. The hotel staff worked very hard to accomodate our particular needs. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location for touring York. My only complaint was the cost of the car park.
