Good for Overnight near Airport
A decent hotel is a hard thing to find in Moscow. We found ourselves in a situation in St.Petersburg, the evening before our return to Moscow. It seems the "Airport" Holiday Inn we booked, was in fact no where near the airport. At first this was fine as they provided a shuttle service. But wait, that shuttle only runs twice a day!! Imagine that, an airport hotel, with shuttle service, but only twice a day. Absurd policy by a Hotel chain who should know better!! So we found this Hotel Sheremetyevo and quickly booked it on short notice. If you need a hotel near the airport, this is about as close as it gets...AND..they actually do have shuttle service. The room and bed were so-so...actually the bed was not that comfortable. It was clean, and served our purpose. The complimentary breakfast is there, but its not so good. Quite awful actually. As for the hotel bar being in the lobby, and the only area you can grab wi-fi- this was a negative. If you stay, and are wanting a drink, water, iced tea, cola, instead of $2.50 for an item..walk out of the hotel, and either right or left will take you to either a gas station or qwik store within a few feet. Buy your items there. Other than that.. if your in a jam, and need a place near the airport, you could do a lot worse than Hotel Sheremetyevo... like booking the "Airport" Holiday Inn- which I strongly recommend one does not book. So I’d say Hotel Sheremetyevo is a positive more than negative, just based on our experience and needs.

Not Impressed
The room was small and rather grubby. Neither the breakfast nor the dinner were particularly impressive. Overall I was dissappointed and will definitly not be back.

not to the business people expectation
This is an ex-soviet hotel. Poor service, no attention to details, schuttle bus is never there to pick you up at the airport. Recommendation: if you had to stay in Shermeytevo airport, you better stay at the Novotel.
