Nice but noisy
The staff was fine. The room was quite small. Our room was facing the street. There were disco clubs across the street and even during the week from about 11pm - 3am it was like grand central station with lots of yelling and shouting. Even with earplugs I was kept awake.
Traveler's tip on dining
There is a great little bagel shop across the street and down about a block (going toward St. Stevens Green). More variety for breakfast and wonderful *Americano* coffee.Good prices.

Would not recommend
I would not recommend a stay at Harrington Hall. Unless you are at the back of the hotel, the rooms are very noisy - to the point where sleep is impossible. Additionally, the beds are extremely uncomfortable and the rooms themselves are quite dated. All of this is unfortunate because the location is great and the staff was friendly enough.

Nice, quiet and clean
A little bit away from major attraction but very quiet hotel. I got a backside room and I didnt experience any noise problem mentioned by others, even during the weekend. Forget the breakfast and no wifi... but theres an access to a computer with internet (extra charge).
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
Just behind the hotel theres a charming and quiet park, much more relaxing spot compare to Stephens Green

great location
Harrington Hall was situated in a great location within walking distance of most major attractions. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. We booked a triple room for three guests and there was plenty of additional space for luggage and just plain sitting room.

O.k. option close to Stevens Green
Great location and o.k. price. Rooms are small and not very attractive. Location is of course fantastic. staff friendly in a low key fashion.

Pretty good place to stay
This hotel was clean but old. The room was adequate for our needs. It was hard to get to with all the one way streets. For the price it was worth it.

Great staff, too much noise
The staff was very helpful and polite, but as other reviewers have said, you will not be able to get much rest in this hotel. The last night of our stay, a helicopter hovered over the hotel because of some fights that had broken out at the clubs across the street. Its a shame that the clubs are allowed to make nights miserable for the hotel guests because as long as the clubs are there, I cant recommend Harrington Hall.

noisy!!
No complaints whatsover about the hotel or its staff, but its on a street that is also home to several popular night clubs that start to get busy at 1 am, and when they close at 4 am theres a traffic jam, complete with honking horns. Very noisy nights; hard to sleep. A shame because its otherwise a very nice place.

Overrated Harrington Hall
A true example of the hype on the internet and brochures not meeting reality. A front room in this hotel means that you are literally on a tramline and opposite two of the noisiest and most popular clubs and pubs in Dublin. Restful sleep is thus impossible. Moreover hotel is not easily accessible to sights of Dublin and should not be recommended to older visitors who do not relish walking miles. Hotel staffed entirely by foreigners who do not know the city and give out incorrect information.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Use the hop on/off bus and do an edntire route before deciding what to see and to plan your tour. The "Wildly Wicklow" tour is superb and should not be missed,

Not impressed
The bathrooms seemed to have been recently remodeled but they do not have counter space to put your toiletries, towels or clothes. We asked for two beds and we were given a room with one bed. Front desk staff was very nice and gave us anothe room but it faced the street and the tram runs right outside, and you can hear it starting at about 5:00 am. You could get a better place closer to Stephen Green.
Traveler's tip on dining
Tips: TJ Friday restaurant is way too expensive for the food you get. A much better option is Trocadero, and Mondays, they have 25.00 special.

Average hotel
The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was large and had soft and fluffy towels. The beds, however were hard and uncomfortable. Each bed had one flimsy pillow and the sheets and covers were rather shabby. The hotel was located in an area convenient to shopping and other tourist attractions.

Great starting point to see Dublin.
The hotel was an old manor with lots of charm. Our room was a very good size and the bathroom was updated and clean. The breakfast was fresh and the staff was friendly and helpful. We would difinately stay there again. It was in walking distance to alot of the citys highlights.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
We were right down the street from St Stephens Green, Grafton St, Trinity College and more. Dublin is a great jumping off point if your wanting to go to the southeast or northeast areas.

Great Place...but neighboring clubs were noisy at night!
Great Place...but neighboring clubs were noisey at night! We met nice guest in the sitting room where the wifi was and tea was service. The communal sitting room was lovely and comfortable. The employees were nice as well. However, if you are a light sleeper, then the neighboring club noise could be a problem.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
There are at least 2 "on-off" double decker buses. Compare the stops schedules. We paid for the one that stopped running 2 hours before the other bus line (they cost the same).

Good Location
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Harrington Hall. The location was perfect. Walking distance to Grafton Street and Temple Bar. The hotel lobby and breakfast room were attractive. The bedroom did need some updating, but the bathroom was large, clean and attractive. One downside, there was no coffee or tea in the morning, unless you wanted to pay for breakfast. However, we would stay there again.

Great Hotel!
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a room in the back of the hotel and found it quiet and comfortable. Great location! - walking distance to Grafton Street (shopping& dining), Trinity College, and Temple Bar area.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The hotel is a short walk to St. Stephens Green (beautiful park!) and fabulous shopping on Grafton Street and stop by Cassidys pub for a pint - great service and friendly atmosphere.

Great Place to Stay
My wife and I stayed Harrington Hall on two separate occasions recently. We loved the hotel. The service was great and it was a beautiful, small hotel in a perfect location near St. Stephens Green and Grafton Street. If you like center city locations this is a perfect place.

Nice, well located hotel
Dublin hotels are extremely expensive, making it tough to rate a hotel based on value. It was a nice, well located hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only surprise was that the street that seemed so pretty and quiet during the day, turns into night club row at night. Our room was on the back side of the hotel, so there were no noise issues.

A bit expensive for what was provided.
The location was good. The price seemed more expensive than I thought reflected in the hotel. The staff was considerate and helpful. Great full breakfast.
