This hotel is special, very impressed.
The hotel has a charming roof-top cafe and garden where you can enjoy a beautiful breakfast buffet, read a book or have a drink and from which you can see the Blue Mosque, hear calls to prayer, watch commercial fisherman fish or just watch the boats in the harbor. The friendly staff spoke English, which was helpful to us. Our room was small but comfortable and the shower was wonderful. We were able to walk from the hotel to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome and restaurants. Yet we were in a residential neighborhood. My husband and I agree that it was a great place to stay.

Cozy
The hotel personeel was magnificent, very good service. Best location, very close to sll attractions. The room may need a little update to make it more confortable, but was very clean, the breakfast at the terrace was very good with an awesome view. I would stay here again...

I could go back as soon as I can
An important thing to be taken care of is that they requirea better television equipment in the rooms, and enlarge their breakfast menu.

Charming would definitely stay there again.
The hotel is lovely. We knew it was small with just 17 rooms, which was perfect. Quiet, wonderful ambience, fabulous staff, delicsious breakfast with a lovely rooftop view of the city. Very "Turkish" in the decor which pleased us. First time to Turkey and the welcome was gracious. Outstanding recommendations on what to do, arrangements were made for us with no hesitation. The hotel is well situated, we walked from there to most everywhere! My wife and I highly recommend the Dersaadet

Hagia Sophia fabulous. Do see Topkapi, do go to teh Archeological Museum and the Mosaic Museum. Go to the Chora Church! The Grand Bazaar is fun, never pay first price figure 1/2-2/3 of what they ask for initially.

Good location, EXCELLENT service
The hotel lies in a great location of the city, within walking distance to the blue mosque, grand bazaar, spice market, and many other sites. However, it’s best attribute is the front desk service. Any questions asked to them about tours, sight seeing, or meal options, they were always armed with valuable information and a warm smile. Additionally, they’re proud of their Expedi "Insider’s Select" Award as the proudly display it on the front desk --they know customer satisfation is number 1!

Impressive hotel
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Dersaadet. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Small but comfortable rooms. Superb buffet breakfast on the rooftop restaurant with wonderful views of the Marmara Sea. Best of all: location, location, location

The day cruise to the mouth of the Black Sea was wonderful and should not be missed. Also greatly enjoyed the palace, the Haig Sophia and the archeology museum.

Definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
The hotel was a great place to stay. Location was great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The nice part was having a roof top dining area where you had breakfast with a view of the water and at night you could sit and enjoy some wine with a great view. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Pleasant little hotel
Located on a quiet, street a short walk from the Haggia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, the Dersaadet is convenient for travelers wanting to see the famous old city sites. The rooms are very small, but clean and in excellent condition, except for the fuzzy TV. The charming roof top cafe is a wonderful place for the delicious breakfast and a drink at the end of the day. The neighborhood is a little sad with low end shops and many cats wandering around. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great location;extraordinary staff
The Dersaadet is well-situated to explore the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome, Topkapi and Basilica Cistern that are 4-5 minutes away at a slow leisurely walking pace. Its terrace cafe offers an wonderful,unobstructed view of the Bosphorus and illustrates the importance of the Golden Horn to fishing and commerce. While these attributes are commendable, Dersaadet’s real distinction is its wonderful cadre of staff who are warm, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. We found Istanbul exciting, vibrant, and historic;our stay at the Dersaadet greatly enhanced our first experience with this amazing city.
Traveler's tip
Rami resturant, around the corner and up the block toward the Blue Mosque. Take a couple of Istanbul cab rides; they are better than Space Mountain in Disney.
