not impressed
The photos on expedia looked very nice. However, once we were there the room was somewhat small. The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, very hard. I had trouble sleeping and had to even go get a massage. If hard bedding is your preference, then that would be a good thing I guess. Cleanliness was ok. The air condition was leaking from the roof. The elevator got stuck, they were in the process of fixing it. I dont think anyone got stuck inside but there is 8 floors in the hotel and we had to take the stairs. The only good thing I have to say is the pool was very nice and they had very good coffee and breakfast; (not complimentary, but good) Kid friendly. The view was very nice, but there are many other hotels right on the beach with the same view.
Traveler's tip on dining
you need to go to Panama, a local restaurant where they make fresh bread and pastries and have their own unique foods. very good.

Excellent location
The maintanance is very poor in this resort. It seems to be a lack of management to take care of the most commun maintance such as the rest-room door knob, the entrance door lock, the elevator etc. The location is excellent. We had a few beautiful sunsets.

Not impressed at all. Would never stay there again.
The Hotel was not what it appeared to be on the internet. The telephone NEVER worked. The A/C unit fan only worked on High. The first impression when you walk into the lobby, was what the heck did I sign up for here. We were showed 3 different rooms & they were ALL below standards. They had kitchen units in them & the refrigerator doors didnt close, nor did most of the drawers. They smelled like mold etc... We were then showed a unit that apparently had been remolded & were told that we would have to pay $10.00 per night extra if we wanted to stay in it. The front desk clerk was one of the ruddest girls that I had ever come across in a hotel. I would NEVER recommend the Luna Palace to anyone! Well, maybe my worst enemy......
