If you’re ever in bolzno.....stay here!
i have two kids, 16 and 13, and we needed a place to stay in northern italy to watch the junior world track championships in bressanone, about a 20 minutes away. the hotel greif was a fantastic choice. it’s right on the main square where you want to be for dining, walking, farmers market, whatever. the hotel is very clean and everyone was extraordinarily helpful. internet access in the rooms through the tv. they sent up fresh fruit every day, not just the first day. the breakfast was excellent, lots of fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, meats/cheeses, breads, as well as eggs however you like them with juice and freshly brewed coffee, including decaf, not just sanka. we got the second level up room, deluxe i think, it gets you a loft with two beds upstairs and creates alot more room, plus they rolled in a bed for downstairs. each of the staff was fantastic and i can’t say enough how happy i was, this was a great positive surprise for my trip.

ask the front desk for maps for the hiking/walking trails, this is a beautifully planned out city and there are numerous wonderful walks and hikes.
