a perfect choice
We were immediately smitten with Hotel Alexandra. It was small, friendly, and in the perfect location for enjoying walking around Copenhagen. I found it much more inviting than the larger, more oppullent hotels Ive visited elsewhere. I have nothing negative to say about the entire experience.

over priced and disappointing
Our first room we were assigned had a horribly foul odor and all the ambience of a flop house. We asked for another room which the desk gratiously accomodated. The second room was better but still not great. We sent 3 weeks touring the Baltic and this was the most expensive least satisfactory hotel we had. The breakfast was not too bad however. Our second room was on a non-smoking floor which smelled of smoke. The bathroom was somewhat dirty with mold in the corners. The desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Overall I wouldnt recommend this hotel and would not stay thee again.

Yes, Id stay there again
We were in Copenhagen during a rare heatwave and the hotel is not air-conditioned. A fan is provided, but it only helped a bit. The electricity went out for about an hour and we had to use the stairs. Were pretty fit so it was no big deal to us, but it would have been very inconvenient for anyone trying to get luggage down from the upper floors. The rooms are small (think NYC) but adequate and very clean. That said, the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful; the breakfast provided was delicious; and the hotel is well-located. Id definitely stay there again.
