Mosquitos in Room
Every nite that i stayed in the hotel, i woke up in the middle of the nite with swollen arms and face after a battering of mosquito bites. Most unpleassnt experince. Had to keep my room lit to sleep in an attempt to rid the mosquitos. No more Hotel Equitorial for me, not really an insect lover.

Staff friendly, rooms a little tired.
A comfortable and reasonably priced hotel in a good spot in town. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food in the hotel restuarants was pretty good.The rooms (at least the one’s we were in) were a little tired looking and could do with a bit of refurbishment but there was everything you’d expect in a hotel of this standard.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
This hotel is within ten minutes walk of the historic part of Melaka which is a plus - the river and the surrounding restuarants, bars and shops are a nice way to spend an evening. Melaka has an interesting history and unlike so many places in Malaysia they have preserved a bit of it.

Easy access
The hotel is ideally located near to many restaurants & shops. You can easily find Carrefour, 7-11 and other small convenient shop nearby. But the road infront of the hotel is always jam & congested. It can be quite dangerous to the guest & children. Luckily, we can see some traffic police around there most of the time.
