Dog Friendly Aspen
We go to Aspen for a weekend every year at this time, to get a break from work and enjoy the changing colors. Bringing Charlie the dog is a must. There are a handful of hotels in Aspen that welcome dogs, but this is the only one that won’t break the bank. We have stayed here several times and never had a bad stay. Request a room with a balcony. Breakfast is included and comes with make-it-yourself waffles.

Great deal for downtown Aspen
This is a great find if you need a "reasonably priced" room - compared to other lodgings, the Aspen Mountain Lodge is a steal. Takes about 5 minutes to walk to the center of Aspen, and is right on the bus route to get to other local areas (Snowmass, Basalt, Carbondale, etc). Very small pool and hot tub next to parking lot, also next to Main Street, so a bit noisy, and the hot tub could be kept about 4* hotter. Comfortable, quick rooms with nice beds - continental breakfast included with rooms is nice, but will not replace a nice restaurant breakfast. Overall, would definitely stay again.

Nice European Style Alpine Hotel
ITs nice to find a touch of European style accomodation in the heart of the Rockies. The hotel has a warm friendly atsmophere - kind of like the opposite end of the scale to a "plastic" chain hotel.
