strange stay
Staff at this place are disorganized. On check-in the young man running the desk could not understand that we had arrived a day early. He just didn’t know what to do. He called his sister who said to give us a room and she’d check us in the next morning. We got a call at 10:30 that evening asking me tocome down to the office to check in. She wanted to change the rate and the room... Eventually she was able to get her computer to work and figure it all out. It was confusing and inconvenient. The hotel itself, though older, with cracking concrete on outside walkways and stairs, was okay inside, The air conditioner struggled a bit to keep the place comfortable. In my opinion, the price was slightly more than the place was worth. Not the worst place I’ve ever stayed, as economy lodgings go... about a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10.
ukiah has a movie night in the plaza great fun. The old downtown on School street has great local shops... even an independent bookstore!
