Very good first experience in Daytona!
This was a work trip, but booked through Expedia. The hotel room showed some signs of wear, but nothing obnoxious. Overall, it was very clean and well maintained even though there were some little flaws in the bathroom tile and tub enclosure. Other than that, the room was in very good shape and dust-free. The staff was very courteous and helpful but the place is HUGE! I cant imagine staying there with a full house in prime season, but thoroughly enjoyed the experience early November. Loved being able to walk nearby for food and entertainment and the grounds were especially nice! Would go back, if I had a desire to go back to Daytona.

Perfect For Biketoberfest!
Stayed here during Biketoberfest 2009 with 2 motorcycles and an SUV. No problem parking or accessing any of the vehicles. Staff was wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Perfect location - on the beach and walking distance to Main Street. Very short walk to Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, IHOP, Bubba Gump, movie theaters, etc. Plenty of locally flavored places to eat, too. No maid service one of the days but got an instant response when we called for clean towels. Hot tub/pool area constantly ran out of towels.
Ate at Earl Street Diner right across the street every morning for breakfast - good food and very affordable. BBQ place across the street was good but crowded.

Great Location, Very Nice Hotel, but...
The room was large and comfortable and the location on Atlantic Ave. puts you right in the middle of the activities (Biketoberfest). Yes the parking fee was somewhat expensive but we just left the car in the parking garage and walked. However, the furnishings were somewhat dated and showed some wear - still better than the cheaper chain motels. Two complaints - the balcony was really just a ledge with a railing and you couldnt even get out to sit and watch the ocean - also the AC simply couldnt keep up even when set to 58 degrees. While my wife was comfortable I found it warm and stuffy.
I do recommend eating at Gators BBQ out by the speedway. Informal setting, lots of TVs with sports, good food, cold beer, comparable to Hooters or Buffalo Wild Wings.
