not bad for a large family
Nice hotel, clean, staff are very helpful, though needs to be updated. The carpets and decor are a bit worn. Our room was huge not only by European standards, but the US. We had four of us in one room, and there were plenty of room for the two roll away beds and to hang out. Beds were a bit small, but the feather down blankets are a plus. The TV only had 6 stations, two in English. The free breakfast was limited, but enough for all of us to find something. Overall it was a nice stay, I guess we came to see Iceland, not to stay in the hotel

Great breakfast, good location
We were very impressed with this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, the location of the hotel was good...we coiuld walk to downtown Rejkajavik...and the desk people were friendly. In Iceland food is expensive, so the breakfast was very important. There was an abundant selection of delicious foods to choose from. When downtown, do try the Cafe Paris. It is chic and moderately priced. Their fish soup, served with delicious bread is a must. If there are two or more of you it is cheaper to rent a car. Go to the Blue Lagoon. We went the morning we arrived in Iceland. Very relaxing and quite stunningly beautiful.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
If there are two or more in your group it is cheaper to see the attractions by renting your own car. Driving is VERY easy in Iceland.
