Nice, quiet Hotel....
The hotel was nice, very quiet. The pool area was really beautiful. The rooms were typical of European hotel rooms, no carpet, twin beds, and the shower head sprayed all over the place, only a small shower door. Buffet breakfast was good...it would have been nice to be able to eat dinner at the hotel, but the only food available was buffet style and we did not want to eat buffet dinners. Also the tranportation was difficult. There were public busses, but you had to walk about 3/4 of a mile to get to the bus stop. The hotel transportation was very limited. We ate dinner in Mellieha 2 times...very good food and service and the other nights we ate in Valletta and Selema. Would rather have stayed closer to Selema for the night life.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
We used the cute public busses to get around. That was great fun. Also the tours we took were great. They picked us up at the hotel each morning. We often stayed in town at the end of the tour and took the bus back to the hotel after eating dinner.

Out of the Way
The hotel is designed for the summer European vacationer who is looking for solitude and sun. It is out of the way for a tourist who wishes to see Malta. A walk of approximately 1 km is necessary to reach the nearest bus stop (the Maltese method for sightseeing). There are no taxes waiting for you; they have to be booked. I suggest renting a car if you think you can drive with the Maltese (think driving in Italy). For those meals we ate in the hotel, the food was plentiful and good, but not excellent, The room clean and maintained. Overall a nice stay; just not designed for our objective.
