Great Hotel
Never stayed at a 4 star hotel... it did not WOW me as much as i expected but was very beautiful in almost every way. Bathroom was a bit too simple for me, i guess Im old fashioned, i prefer marble and wood not carpet and pink tile but all in all very nice (no toiletries or bathrobes .. kind of disappointing),.

Good Marina but not Grand Marina
Overall a very nice hotel. Front desk people were extremely courteous. Room was very small, and hotel was in an industrial district, where trucks and forklifts ran all night long down the street. Also, the hotel was very far from downtown Helsinki, so guests are not within walking distance of the city. One would need to take a taxi to get to any shops or tourist attractions. Might be OK for business travelers but for leisure travelers such as ourselves, it was not a good choice.
If taking a train from the north of Finland back to the Helsinki airport, get off at the last stop before the city of Helsinki. Also, Finnish cabs are such a pleasure. The drivers speak good English, they refuse tips and they wont try to cheat you like in Estonia or wont be rude like they were in Riga.
