Scandic Jarva Krag- good option between downtown and airport
Stayed at two Scandic hotels in Stockholm, excellent accomations and very nice and helpful people. Picked the Jarva Krag so that we could easily get to the airport for departure back to the states the next morning, and it was an inexpensive short (1/2 hour) ride to the airport. Used the local public transport (trains) to get downtown and sightsee, and the hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the train station after you get your bearings. Very clean, very helpful people on staff, and good value for what we paid for the room. It was an excellent end to our Scandinavian vacation.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
This was a great place to stay and use the local bus and train system to get around. I had thought about renting a car, but the public transportation in Stockholm is excellent.

Did not meet expectations
Me and 2 other friends shared a room. First night we all had to sleep in sofas (3 different ones) since they told us they did not have another room. After complaining they changed us to another room which was better but still not clean enough. In addition the hotel is located outside of the town and the connections to the city centre during the weekend are not that good.
