A lovely stay
Had a lovely stay of 4 nights at this hotel. Staff were uniformly friendly, pleasant, helpful. Room was very clean and quiet, and of decent size. In the spa I only used the pool -- very nice. Dinner at the in-house Piazza Romana restaurant was lovely if a bit pricey, service and food were excellent. Overall pleasant atmosphere. The lack of a clothes iron or a coffee-pot in the room was a bit of an inconvenience, but coffee-shops at least abound within minutes’ walking distance.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
The coffee in the in-house coffee-shop was only so-so and quite expensive, but just across the way at the nearby train station was a great Italian cafe with excellent coffee and fresh brioch, rolls, etc.

Most affordable 5 star hotel in Hamburg
They do have A/C. Not an A/C blasting cold air but enough to remove the humidity from the room during the view warm weeks during the summer.

Can’t go wrong here.
Conveniently located. Great service. Very nice bathroom. Bed was average. Restaurant food excellent. Personnal was very helpful and spoke good English.
Traveler's tip for business travelers
If you need to iron, then get a room on the 3rd. floor as this is where the ironing room is located. Very close to the train station.
