Nice hotel for the buget conscious
A nice hotel for the budget conscious. Rather spartan accomodations but clean and well maintained. A little out of the way of Berlin’s center. Next to a train station but not near Alexanderplatz as stated. At least not walking distance. The free transit pass is a nice touch. It gets you anywhere in Berlin and also as far as Potsdam.

Cool Hotel
During my hotel search I found it so helpful reading the reviews that people wrote about their hotel experiences. So here is my two cents..... I found this hotel to be quite enjoyable and wonderfully located to all the tourist sites via the trains. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that was next to a train station before. At times it was a little noisey but you get use to it. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend a sound machine. The staff is SUPER friendly and extremely helpful. I really enjoyed the transportation pass and used it a lot. The S & U Bahn are very user friendly and similar to the subway system in Manhatten NY. Only difference is you have to press the button on the door to make it open. :)
Traveler's tip on local attractions
My only regrets...If you get a chance, rent a bike and tour the city. I did the bus tour that does a loop around the city. (very cool) You can get on and off at the different spots and a bus comes by every 15 minutes. My friend and I had a little late start that day and wasn’t able to see everything we wanted, so start early!

Solid purchase
For the price it was perfect. It is located directly in the East Train station, which connects to the S-bahn (main subway system), so the location couldn’t be better. Although our room was not ready for check-in until 5 PM due to slow cleaning crew, once we got to enter it was very nice. Staff was helpful and breakfast was impressive.
