Very Nice Hotel, but Far from Metro
Beautiful room. Very clean. Location not so great distance wise. Quite far from the Metro station. We used the Hospital Clinic station. Would not recommend to older travelers who find too much walking a problem. We walked to La Pedrera and eventually to the Sagrada Familia from the hotel. Its a nice stroll, so long as you are used to walking a lot. We are from NYC, so walking is a nice form of exercise and we do not mind it. But for others, it may be a challenge. Best to stay in a more convenient part of the city...the Latin Quarter (Barri Gotic & surrounding neighborhood) is very charming & would be more convenient.
You must catch the magic fountain show that takes place in front of the National Art Museum each Friday & Sat night. Must have a Catalan meal at the Agut restaurant. Fish was crazy fresh. It was as if they caught the fish off the Mediterranean that very morning and used it for lunch. Be sure to order a fish and shellfish dishes or tapas. The seafood there is amazing and very very fresh.

Nice
Very nice hotel. Clean, well kept. Modern fixtures and decor. Now the down side (but dont let that discourage you, just be fore-warned): Its a little far from downtown, although a bus takes you right there. The rooms have no carpets. So when the people above you return back to their rooms at midnight or later, you hear every footstep. Same for early in the morning. This was certainly one of the better hotels we stayed in on this trip.
