Will return to hotel next visit
The hotel was very quiet as the entrance and my room were located on a side road off the main pedestrian way. The room was large for European standards. The breakfast buffet was excellent! Most major attractions were within walking distance. I was extremely satisfied with all aspects of Hotel Aulmann.

Nice hotel at a good location
Overall I was pleased with the Hotel Aulman. The staff is very friendly and the hotel and room is in good, clean shape. My only minor complaint is that our room’s bathroom window was not as opaque as one would hope, lending to strategic lightening when entering and exiting the shower. We did face an alley, so not too bad. The breakfast is nice and everything is well cared for. The location is excellant, located on the Hauptstrass (walking street) only a block from the main square and a 10-minute walk from Porto Negro. The staff has city maps on site and will gladly note the major sites of Trier.
Traveler's tip
Use the hotel’s secure garage as there is limites street parking. Park briefly on the street and tell the staff as you check in that you wish to move the car. As ticketers move fast the staff will assit in accessing garage first. Also, you will have to drive onto the Hauptstrasse to get to the hotel. Just proceed slowly.
