Excellent for the price - great location
Hotel was the best I stayed in my 5 city trip to Europe. Very clean. Free wireless in bedroom. Good size room and bathroom. Walking distance to Catalunya and Ramblas. There are several places close to the hotel where you can eat. Staff was friendly. It is about 4 or 5 blocks from the metro and about 3 blocks from the train station. Hotel was in excellent conditions. I would totally stay there again.
Visiting Sagrada Familia disappointed me since it is in construction and all you can see is materials, tools, etc. Not worth the price. You can see it from the outside without having to pay. Inside is just like seeing any building in construction.

Balmes best choice for Barcelona
Great location, great shower and great staff. I asked for an iron and board and they had it to my room in minutes. The only complaint I can muster is that the hotel has one computer for all it’s guests and it’s very slow, but on the other hand they do have free wireless if you have your laptop, which i decided not to take. There are two metro stops about a block to 2 blocks away. Close to nightlife, restaurants and great sights. Barcelona is a beautiful, exciting city and when I go back Balmes will be the hotel I book again.

The attention was very good
