Stunning!
We stayed here on our honeymoon, great location, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, great food.

Great place to relax
We spent a most relaxing 5 days at Meritus Pelangi. The service staff was outstanding. The rooms are well spread out, and ours was about 100 yards from the lobby and the restaurant area. The breakfast was superb. The nightly bar-b-que was fantastic, and the price was also reasonable. The other restaurants, whilst good, were a bit pricey.There are many inexpensive eating places within walking distance of the hotel. The other attractions were the beach and two very nice swimming pools. The positive attitude and the very attentive service of the staff helped make our stay very enjoyable.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Make sure you go on a few excursions on offer. The most popular seemed to be the visit to the mangroves which included watching eagles feed, a visit to a fish farm and a swim at a secluded beach. This whole day excursion was great. We also took a all day snorkeling excursion. The day on the beach was enjoyable, although the snorkeling part was disappointing as there were no corals to view!!

5 Star - more like 3
Hotel was old, poorly maintained, definitely not 5 star quality. Service was poor, staff disinterested. The only hotel (regardless of rating) that I have had to carry own golf clubs as porters stood by and watched! Not once did a member of staff promptly serve us, we always had to wait long periods of time before managing to attract their attention. Reception managed to mess up our booking regardless of several emails confirming our requirements. Late check out before our evening flight was not possible and we had to shower in an empty room, which had obviously been used by a number of other guests without being cleaned in between. All in all a terrible hotel and not once were we asked how our stay was going until we had been home for a week, one way to stop embarrassing scenes in the lobby I suppose.

Very nice hotel
I stayed in Pelangi for 10 nights this November. The hotel is very nice, cosy and very green, having very big well kept garden. The staff is very polite and friendly. Garden view room I occupied was very comfortable (especially bed with fabulous duvet), clean and well-kept (renovated recently). Housekeeping was very effective. The main pool is very nice. Restaurants and bars are nice as well (and not so expensive as in other hotels of the same class), however, breakfast could be better (i.e. have more veriety). Anyway, I liked every day of may stay

Excellent Value
This hotel was excellent value for a resonable price. The swimming pool bars are ideal for this type of holiday stay.

Langkawi is an excellent holiday site, mainly because there are few vacationers around and we felt we had the whole Island to ourselves.

Serenely beautiful..
if you’re into a peaceful vacation with the best of everything, there’s absolutely no way that other hotel’s will top this reservation. Being a travel agent myself, I can truly guarantee an excellent service from this hotel. The place is just magically beautiful, people who’s more than accomodating, great food, prices that’s completely reasonable .. it’s definitely the best place we’ve been to during the entire asian tour that we’ve had. Will definitely go back. :)
