Would not go back!
Interlaken is such a beautiful place and to stay in the tallest cement building in the small town was actually a little embarrassing. There were plenty of other fine lodgings all around. The Hotel itself was very disappoitning. If you are going to be modern and stand out at least act like it. However unfortulately the hotel seemed very rundown, not very well cleaned and the facilities/restaurants very average indeed. Such a shame! But everything else about Interlaken is brilliant.

We did the Jungfrau train trip and it was absolutely fantastic - expensive but great!

Only hotel in Interlaken has a perfect sceneray about Jungflau
If I have a one more chance to have a vocation in Interlaken, I will lodge at this hotel once again.

A good place to stay at Interlaken
If one can get accomodation, the renovated Metropole is the place to stay at Interlaken. Don’t forget to ask for packed breakfast, if you are leaving the hotel before 0700 AM.
