It was fun staying in a castle, very homey atmosphere
We enjoyed the hotel very much. They like having Americans stay there and it was also fun getting to know people from other countries. It was a little tricky getting there as there was some road construction but worth the drive. Cliftden is a very enjoyeable village and the Kylemore Abbey which is near the castle is well worth a visit.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
we had dinner in the castle, pricey but the food was good. However I would recommend eating down in the village, not as expensive.

What a lovely place!
The staff was friendly, helpful and available. Our turret room was far better - larger and well appointed - than we expected. The food at both breakfast and dinner was exceptional. I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Clifden. It was such great fun to mingle with the many regional residents who frequent the hotel.

I would love to go back and stay a month or more.
I was made Queen for the evening and thrilled by it. Everyone made us feel so very welcome and anticipated our every need. The rooms were not only beautiful but comfortable. The service was A+ and we were able to have dinner even though we had not register for it ahead of time. Staff were friendly and also took our picture for us. Speaking of service wow ! and the food was excellent too. I would really love to go back an stay again.

Our whole trip was wonderful from our flights, to Castle, Hotel and car rental. Will use expedia if the occasion arises. Thank you
