Just Horrible
Room in the basement. Stinky corridors. No air conditions. Bathroom is pathetic.

London- August 09
I stayed at Norfolk Plaza Hotel in August 2009 for 7 nights (the first 3 nights in a room with 2 twin beds and then when my sister joined us we switched to a room with 3 twin beds). The first room was actually quite large, much larger than I expected based on my previous 2 visits to London. The room with 3 twin beds was small once we brought in all of our luggage, but still larger than I expected. FYI- This hotel does NOT have air conditioning. The week we were there the temps were in the upper 80s the entire time. The staff was nice and found a fan for us to use in the room. The best part about this hotel was the location. Across from a nice park and about 1/2 way down the block so it was pretty quite (our first room faced the street and we had the window open the entire time and it wasnt a problem). It is also only 2 blocks from Paddington Station so there is great access to the Tube, Trains and Heathrow Express. (There is also pretty good quick food and shopping options at the train station... so we did not have breakfast at the hotel.) It is also only about a 10 minute walk to the north side of Hyde Park. Overall this is a good hotel for the money. It is not new and no where near luxury.... but a good hotel for the price we paid.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Jurys still out.
As regards location, it is in a very convenient spot. There was one particular receptionist who was extremely helpful and friendly. When I first arrived, the room was a far cry from what was touted on their virtual tour. I was away for a day, but when I returned the room got a little sprucing up. It was quite stuffy at first, but when the window was opened that cleared up.
Traveler's tip
Remember to travel with a voltage converter. UK goes on 220~240 Voltage.
