Mattress Lumps

the condition of bed mattresses were unsuitable for human body. Lumps in bedding surface made sleeping difficult due to discomfort. Breakfast adequate but simple menu of cereal and toast, juice, coffee and tea. No sweet danish or breakfast cake. no yogurt

Avoid This Hotel!

This hotel was terrible! I have been to London & Europe many times and understand hotel rooms are generally on the small side. this room was microscopic! and as far as amenities, there were none. this place supplied absolutely nothing. oh wait there was on obviously used little bar of soap on the bathroom sink. even at the worst hotels they at least supplied an electric kettle in the room. not here. the walls were so thin you could here the person in the next room breathing, I’m not kidding. the staff, while not rude was noncommittal at best. great location very bad hotel.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

For travel around London, buy a pay as you go oyster card. far cheaper than cash or day paper ticket.

Cheap and well located

It’s a cheap hotel, really near a tube station. My room was small and very cold. And very noisy too, but I was on the ground floor and next to the reception. I guess rooms in other floors are not as noisy.

Do Not Stay Here

Things were stolen out of our room. The room was old and felt dirty. The staff were not helpful at all. This was a horrible experience.

Lower end of 3 star hotels in Central London

I’ve been staying in different hotels in Central London for the last 2 weeks, as I’m in the process of finding an apartment. Better sized rooms, but the walls are cracked and stained, along with dirty carpet. I heard the guy next door lightly snoring all night. The room had a musty odor. No toiletries provided, just a tiny soap. No coffee/tea maker and cups in the room, you have to go to the lobby and pay 50 pence. The room included breakfast, but I wasn’t inspired to check it out.

Not impressed

They tried to walk me to another hotel, no reason given. No place to store bags if you would like to sight see before check in. No alarm clock. Only soap in bathroom nothing else. Bathroom ceiling moldy. Shower curtain stained. Wallpaper peeling. Should not be rated 3 star but a 2 star.

Super hotel - location, amenities and value

This hotel was an excellent choice for a nights stay in London. Though smaller rooms and bathrooms, typical of an English hotel, it was comfortable and clean. The shower was super and had great water pressure. It is easy access to Paddington Stn for the tube and train and the neighbourhood was safe for walking anytime of the day. It also had a good breakfast in the a.m. of cereal, toasts, cheese, eggs, juice, coffee and tea. Book it now and have a great visit to London!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Get a day ticket for the tube -- well worth it. Also, if you need to store your luggage - there’s a good Left Luggage store in Paddington Station. Well worth the cost to not drag luggage around London.

Pembridge Palace Hotel

This hotel is good for the turists if they like to be in a heart of London. The hotel is situated near from the underground station and the Hyde Park but you can take a rest after your all day journey.

Hotel not worth the money!!!!!

I stayed at this hotel, the hotel was not bad but fr the money i would rather stay somewhere else next time, don’t ever ask the front desk to order a taxi on your behalf, as the excuse i got that there were no taxi’s in London, so the guy at the front desk drove me to the station and over charged me for the ride, also no safes in the hotel, had to take my laptop with me everyday, what a drag.....

Traveler's tip

Dont ever stay at this hotel, not worth the money,

Small room, good location

It was a nice stay for a few days. Small but clean rooms. Nothing fancy, but the price was right.

o.k. for girls week

My daughter and I stayed here it was fun for her. (She’s 21) Not recommend for couples. Rooms very small. Staff was very nice to work with. Helped booked trips and give us guides where to go. 6 blocks from the tube.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Learn the tube(subway) it is the cheapest way to travel around London. Exchange money at airport (not from vendor on street) you pay a fee if you do or use credit cards because they exchange for you and its easy.

Not impressed

This motel has a great location. You can easily walk to shopping, dining and take a stroll through Knotting Hill. If you stay here make a request for a room overlooking the garden,we didnt and our room was in the basement and looked into a stairway. It didnt smell clean. The rest of the motel looked great and the breakfast was good.

Good for the price

This place was cheaper than some hostels, but much cleaner and better located, and there was free breakfast. Only issue being it runs out of hot water, so you need to shower before 0900. Very close to the tube (underground rail), and most of the staff was friendly and helpful.

typical London hotel but with some failures

This is like our 20th time in London, so we know you can’t expect much from your hotel. This one looked pretty neat at first sight but we had some problems: shower tab did not function properly. We had to use a towel to shut it off completely (bad maintenance). Shower curtain smelt like it had never been washed before. Cleaning was not 100% (still dust and hair here and there). Evening staff was not very helpfull. We went down to ask for information about Tutanchamon exhibition (in fact only to ask where O2-dome was). First clerk was on the phone: completely ignoring us; second clerk was on the computer: completely ignoring us. When after a few minutes I asked if they could maybe help their customers, they looked really annoyed. Third clerk came along to help: none of the three had ever heard of Tutanchamon, nor the O2. They were online but wouldn’t let me type it in to google. Finally they said they would call our room if they found something and apparently they found some brochures somewhere....This hotel was very well located; very close to underground; shopping centre Whitley’s with Marks & Spencer nearby and many restaurants as well (Queensway). We would stay there again, but would probably check room before staying in it. it is nice to have a working shower and a fresh shower curtain.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

if you are in London on weekdays, it is cheaper to take a daytravelcard instead of 3-day travelcard unless you plan on using it before 9h30. London is nice on weekdays, because you have loads of lunch offers to eat for a reasonable price.

Won’t see me Again

This Hotel is well deserving of its 2 and a half star rating. One for having water , one for electricity and the other half for half a bath plug but only on request from reception and then being told to call and collect it. Curtains did not close properly. Breakfast was OK - but get their early as the cheese is not replenished when the platter is empty. In general - they will not see again - EVER !!!

pretty standard tourist hotel in London

Could be very comfortable but the structure is old (wter damage on walls.) Bigger rooms than avg for London, but VERY simple and no extras. Heat wasn’t on yet and it’s Mid November. I didn’t mind, but I think most people would.

Great Staff

One of the best assets of this hotel is its staff. They were very helpfull and accomodating. The rooms are very small like any other hotel in the area yet very clean and cozy. I would definately stay there again.

Good deal for tourists!

I didn’t spend much time in the room and therefore didn’t mind the small size. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I felt safe there for the full 10 nights. It is in a great location, very close to the tube and Kensington Palace and Notting Hill. As a single traveller this hotel was more than sufficent.

It was OK

This hotel was OK, close to the Nottinghill Gate metro stop. It served it’s purpose all we did was sleep and shower in the hotel. We were sightseeing the rest of the day. So if your looking for a retreat, look else where. Free breakfast is served every morning (warm milk, cereal, hard boiled eggs, and toast) is what you’ll get.

Very nice. wow wow we wow

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are small but extremely functional and the staff and breakfast were excellent. The only problem is no wi-Fi, but there are plently of connections just outside the door of the hotel.
