Noise!
The hotel was clean and the staff were professional and did a great job, but the room was not comfortable at all. The beds where old army cots, not very comfortable. You could not open the windows because there was so much street noise it would keep you up. This hotel was horrible

A great little hotel in a non-touristed neighborhood
The staff at the desk were unfailingly welcoming and helpful. I had a single room with a bathroom and found the room a bit dark since it was in the back but tocompensate it was extremely quiet. If I was travelling as a couple Id definitely take a more expensive room with windows over the street. Very clean modern bathroom with tons of hot water, although, like everywhere in Italy, the shower box was very pokey. Breakfast was just OK, you know, the usual bread rolls, commercial cheese slices, pastries and terrible American coffee. But there are local places within 50 paces where you can get great coffee. Drink tea instead. Hotel Priscilla is located within walking distance to the Borghese Gallery and is one block away many city bus routes including many to Roma Termini. Quiet, largely deserted streets at night, but extremely safe and no tourists.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
And, theres a great little minimalist bar called Friends (I think) around the corner on Via Piave that hosts a good, youngish crowd every night. Best of all from 7pm they serve free food at the bar, (tapas style) as long as youre buying drinks of course. Dont go there if you dont like loud pop and electronic music.
