Not Impressed
The hotel was difficult to find - we drove past the hotel a few times. The sign is so small, that it’s hard to see. The lobby is nice, but the grandeur stops there. The hallway carpets are stained. The rooms are very small and dimly lit. There’s mold in the shower (in the grout). The worst part was the noise. Several nightclubs are nearby. The crowd noise was very loud with the windows closed.
Traveler's tip on dining
Have breakfast, lunch, or high tea at Betty’s. We attended an evening event at Fountain Abby - the abbey was lit up at night, guided tour were provided, as well as a Gregorian Chant concert. The evening events are only provided certain times of the year. Fountain Abbey is also worth a visit during the day.
