Great location and good service
Rydges is well lcoated right by the boardwalk/shore, and the hotel is pretty new and the rooms were clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay here again.

Awesome Service
We were supposed to go with another couple, but they were unable to attend. The hotel management was outstanding in finding us another room. The gym isn’t very big but was pretty good for a gym at a hotel and the pilates area was pretty good as well.
Traveler's tip
It is very expensive to eat in australia. If you go to cairns for vacation the you will want to have dinner between 4:30-6:30 pm, you get 20% off your dining bill.

Location remote
The hotel was much too far from other restaurants and activities to be highly recommended. The staff was helpful and polite, but overall, the hotel was not managed well, and we have travelled all over the world and base our reaction on that. Tour groups were definitely given priority over guests who also paid to stay at the hotel and who, in fact, probably paid more for food and lodging. This was very irritating. Overall, it was not a bad stay, just not an impressive experience.
