The best service I ever had
The Hotel is on a hill. I am 55 and I had no problem climbing the hill. The service provided by staff was fantastic.. Breakfast was excellant. They even had eggs and bacon.. WE had a top floor corner room that had a great view of the city and castle..Heater worked excellant. Free glass of Port wine on arrival. Has a small bar inside the hotel..They gave Excellant directions on what to see and visit.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
There is a Sports bar at bottom of hill with good selection of Tapas. Metros only 2 blocks away,making all of Lisbon only 15 minutes or less away.. Metro all day card and Lisboa card are also good deals,,Covers museums,trams,trolleys,metro and trains to Sintra and Cascais... Sintra and Cascais are a must see.

Inner City Stay
The hotel was hard to get to because it is located on a steep hill. Our room was remodled with a nice bathroom. The beds were not comfortable and the bedding old. The carpet was dirty and worn. The location was close to Old Town and the Metro was close but the hotel staff could not give direction to them.

Great small hotel!
Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly; made the whole stay a pleasure. Of our 3 rooms, 2 were basic but fine and 1 had lovely windows and more space. All was clean and well-kept, if not luxurious. Great breakfast! The location is perfect for exploring the best parts of the city. A wonderful intimate hotel from which to enjoy a beautiful city.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
If you can get one of the corner rooms, it’s a great deal. The wine bar right by the hotel (Enoteca) is really cool and has great food, but pricey.
