A Great New Year’s Stay
This is a fine hotel in a beautiful city. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was, without exception, friendly and efficient. The location on the outer ring of Vienna made getting into town and to outlying sites easy. We walked through neighborhoods to find fun places to eat. We visited churches and stores. We used the trams and metro to get back and forth. It was a wonderful visit. We saw the New Year’s fireworks display from our hotel window. And the hotel rates were good for the value received.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Buy a local transportation pass when you start your first adventure. It makes using the trams and trains easy, and you save a few dollars.

Good on a budget
At first I was disappointed in the location, in the working class part of town, but after staying a few days it was very convenient to the metro and good and inexpensive restaurants. The hotel was clean and pleasant but the rooms were a little shabby. The beds, however, were good and the included breakfast was fantastic and ample. It was nice to have accessible and free internet. We took a tour to Schonbrunn Palace,which was recommeded at the desk, and were picked up at our hotel but dropped off at the bus collection point which was a long distance from our hotel. We were not told about this until we were done with the tour.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
We recommend getting multi day tickets to get around on the metro which allows you to travel as much as you want. Check with the desk to see what your best deal is.
