Good value for the money
We stayed at the Hotel Spina for part of our honeymoon and we found it was a good value for our money. The breakfast is pretty basic and there is no food available after breakfast, but the location is so perfect we really couldn’t complain. The concierge was very knowledgeable and was able to help us book tours and dinners. The room was fine, if simple. The shower was so small my husband had a tough time fitting in, but I would still recommend this hotel for the price.
Traveler's tip on dining
Check out the Antique Gallery Cafe just outside the center of Sultanahmet for delicious food and the best nargile experience in town. The service was so wonderful, we just kept going back again and again.

Nice Hotel with exceptional view of the Blue Mosque
This is a small boutique hotel located close to the Blue Mosque. Exceptional views from the rooftop restaurant. The staff was wonderful and even opened the restaurant 30 minutes early for us to have breakfast the day we left. The room was clean and nice sized. Really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent hotel!
The reception staff spoke good english and were very helpful. The location is superb -- can see the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia from the lovely rooftop breakfast area; easy walking distance to both Blue Mosque and Hagia Sohpia, as well as other Sultanamet area attractions; tram to other areas of Istanbul is within easy walking distance; nice restaurants nearby.
