good cheap place
Nice hotel, with good location, close to metro station and a bus stop, the area might look not so safe but is alright... nice place to go back to sleep

Great value for price and location
Surpised at the negative reviews here -- we thought this hotel was a great value in an acceptable location- a bit off the tourist beat, but close enough. Real Paris neighborhood. Very quiet, fresh and clean, good bed. Room small, but that’s Paris, particularly in budget hotels. Friendly and efficient staff and service. We’ll certainly be back!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Be sure to check out the big market at Bastille, Thursday morning. And visit the nearby St. Martin canal for a non-touristy city stroll (also market, at canal, where it goes underground near Republique - I think Friday AM (but not sure).
