Great location...Great Hotel
This was our second stay at the Best Western University Plaza Hotel in downtown Evanston. We are the parents of a new student at Northwestern University and will be making many trips to the area. The hotel is close to campus and in the heart of downtown Evanston with shops and restaurants right outside the door. The parking garage is very convenient as parking is not easy to come by in the downtown area. The room itself was large and decorated in very good taste. We were lucky enough on the second visit to have an awesome view of the Chicago skyline from our tenth floor window. The staff is consistently friendly and courteous. I would very much reccomend the Best Western University Plaza.

Not Evanston’s best (I hope)
Everything about this hotel said "mediocre." The front desk staff were usually in a back room somewhere, so you had to wait for service. The free breakfast is worth skipping. The scarcity of electrical outlets in the room suggests that they haven’t yet realized that folks travel with laptops and cell phones. The wireless internet was erratic. The location is good, though, and there are some good restaurants within a short walk.
