A Good Buy for a Longer Stay
I stayed in a one-bedroom suite during my trip to visit my daughter in Brisbane. The hotel was well located just a few blocks from the busier CBD, but in a quieter location. The hotel itself was very quiet, with only 6 suites per floor. The staff was very helpful, offering directions and recommendations for me. My suite had a small kitchen with everything I needed to make breakfast for myself, and I really appreciated the small laundry room within the suite. Nice pool area too. I cant comment on the food, since I never ate there, although breakfast appeared to be pricey. The living area was large enough to host several of my daughters friends for a birthday party. Overall, I was very pleased with the location and the hotel.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The local farmers market at the end of Queen Street on Wednesdays was a great place to buy fresh fruit. The tram system runs well and on-time, but dont expect the conductors to be friendly. There is a 24-hr pancake house just a few blocks away for crepes/pancakes that is worthwhile. The man-made beach at South Bank looked fun if weather is warm.
