Great location, ungodly charge for internet access
Located within a 3-minute walk from the train and bus stations and a 20-minute walk from the center of town. The room and bed were comfortable and the shower was better than most. But 10 euros for 60 minutes online was unreasonable as was the 17 euro 24-hour cost. If you don’t need to be online in the room, this is a good place to stay.

Very nice hotel convenient to train and bus
I was very pleased with my recent experience at the Park Plaza Utrecht. The staff was both friendly and helpful. Both the lobby and my room were very clean, comfortable and modern. Proximity to the train station was important to me since I was rather tightly scheduled. The hotel was within a 5 minute walk of the central station, which is also a hub for local buses.

Decent business hotel, but extras are expensive
The Park Plaza is situated right behind Utrecht’s main train station, so the location is relatively convenient. It’s on the "wrong" side of the train station, though: away from the scenic town center, Dom tower, and Oudegracht. The staff is courteous and professional, and the rooms are clean. Internet access can be purchased through Swisscom, but it’s expensive. Breakfast is quite pricey, so skip it unless it’s included in your room rate. You can find better food at a lower price at the train station, or at the Hoog Catharijne (mall attached to the train station). Next time, I’ll look for a different hotel on Vredenburg (the "right" side of the train station).
