We will be back for sure!
Im sure that everyone knows about the cost of staying anywhere in the Miami Beach/South Beach area and especially oceanfront. After reading dozens of reviews of dozens of hotels, this one stood out. Not only were the Traveller Opinions rated high but just the fact that there were no "extras" being charged was amazing for that area. We checked in quickly and efficiently, the front desk staff were more than helpful anytime. Free internet in rooms and 2 stand alone computers in the front office and FREE PARKING. We had an oceanfront first floor unit which was excellent, chairs and table to sit out and watch the people go by and the ocean waves crash in. It was great. The breakfast was also very good, but you have to get there as soon as it opens, it becomes extremely busy. Lots of shops a block away, 3 blocks away an exclusive shopping mall. Cant wait to go back.
When we were looking to book a car, prices for picking up at the airport were incredibly expensive, so we looked off site for the closest rental pick up and then took a cab there and saved about 175.00 by doing that.

Right on the beach!
Priorities for us are: (1) must be right on the beach, preferably with an ocean view, (2) two beds, preferably queen, (3) free continental breakfast, (4) free parking, (5) free wireless internet access, and (6) kitchenette in room. This hotel met all our expectations. It is right on the beach; although they only had a few rooms with actual beach views, we did have a view of the swimming pool. The queen-size beds were very comfortable and we slept very well. Free parking and free internet were included. Hot eggs, sausage, and french toast were included in the continental breakfast along with the other usual items such as toast, bagels, and fresh fruit. There was a full kitchen in our room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The buildings were a little dated but well-maintained. We were very happy with our stay here.
Do not try to park a car down in the South Beach art deco area!! Parking is extremely limited there, and expensive. City buses run up and down the length of Miami Beach all the time @ $2 per ride (exact change/bills required).

Confused
We arrived early and were appreciative when we were told we could go to our room. We walked down a brick walkway with lovely flowers & trees. Almost every room seemed to be occupied and people were talking and sitting around - which was nice. Our room was great - LR, Kitchen and bedroom with 2 beds. Clean & neat. At night we discovered that everyone liked to congrgate outside - there was music and talking till after 12 mednight. And we could have sworn a giant was walking around upstairs ! There also semed to be another part of the motel that was quieter - inside entrance rooms - small balconies - quite different than our part of the motel. We picked this motel basically because of the rave reviews and we were a bit disappointed. The breakfast was very good - heated pool wonderful and the staff were nice - we just didnt like where we were. If we should go back wed request the other side of the motel. You also need a car..cabs into town are very expensive and it was a 2 hr trip by 2 buses and a train to the Seaquarium.
