Attention to detail
While checking in the clerk was on a personal call, so she didn’t do any thinking about where she might put 2 noisy children and their parents. We were placed on the 2nd floor of a 2 floor hotel on a Wednesday when the place was empty. It was no surprise then that the downstairs room started complaining about the noisy room above them. Attempting to keep the kids quiet for the benefit of our downstairs neighbors would not have been necessary if a little thought had gone into our room placement. The location is fairly close to the beach, but beach view is a stretch.
The Yaquina Bay area is scenic and beautiful. Stay in the marina area

Good Low Budget Choice
Hotel had all the basic neccesities and was clean. It is definitely an older hotel, and does not have a pool or spa or any other nicer amenities. It is approximately 2 blocks from the beach. There are a lot of restaurants in close proximity. The continental breakfast is very basic; just orange juice, muffins, bagels, coffee or tea, and a basket of apples, oranges and bananas.

Don’t miss the aquarium, clam chowder at Mo’s and pancakes at Pig ’n Pancake.

About as expected
Suitable basic overnight room. Haven’t stayed in a motel for years so there wasn’t much to compare it with.
