It was alright

My friends and I stayed here for one night when we attended Halloween Horror Nights. The room was great. very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was a different story. We called ahead to make sure we could check in, (as i’m 19 years old) and they told us we wouldn’t have a problem, that the check in age was 18. When we got there the manager told us the check in age was 21 and she huffed and puffed about it but still allowed us to stay. We got 3 rooms and 2 were ready early, so they told us it would be ready at 3, when check in actually was. It wasn’t, however, ready until 4:30, and the manager was very rude about it. I would recommend the hotel to anyone, just prepare for a late check in with absolutely no help from the staff.

If you plan to drink while your out, ask the front desk to call a cab for you. They were there in 5 minutes flat and it was only 5 dollars from the hotel to Universal Studios.

Great Hotel - Great Location

As close to Universal as you can get without being on-site. They serve a good hot breakfast at the hotel so fill up before you head out for the day. Good restaurants nearby as well as all of CityWalk & I-Drive a short drive away. Clean nice hotel with helpful staff and a clean outdoor pool. If you are visiting off-peak don’t worry about the shorter hours of the parks because the lines are so much shorter which is great. If you like pizza Cici’s is great and cheap! TGIFriday’s is nearby and also very good service and food. Walgreen’s is also a very short walk away. Plan on renting a small car and pay the $12 per day for parking at the parks, it is well worth it - also your feet and you spouse and kids will love you. We all need that right? You will get drenched on the Popeye & Bluto Water Ride, but the others are not too too bad. If you forget a plastic bag for money purses etc borrow one from a gift shop. The Spiderman & the Simpson’s virtual rides are not bad and you can always close your eyes and only feel a little rocking and shaking. Make sure you get an early start because time flies when you’re having fun.

Can’t wait to go back.

close enough to walk to universal and easy driving access to I 4 and I Drive. Nice breakfast too, convienient and a time saver. restaurants and stores also within walking distance

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and very close to a good majority of destinations, as in food, clubs and more importantly attractions.

you can take a bus (LYNX) to universal studios, super convenient if you are out staying late.

Can’t beat price.plain room okay. the suites are worth the difference.has refrig/micro/table and chairs and sofa.king or 2 full beds.their breakfast is full breakfast includes hot eggs and sausage,yogurt,etc.the place is clean and all non-smoking/no pets.good service.it’s a high rise,elevators,of course.would go again.

Quick Vacation

We went to Florida for a quick vacation. The day we left our flight was delayed so we didn’t get to our hotel until around 2 am. When we went to check in the lady at the front desk was unpleasent. She did not provide good customer service. What should have taken 5-10 minutes to check in, turned into almost an hour. We were not in our room until 3 am. Other than the first nights experience we were happy with our choice of hotel.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The room was comfortable, except the bathroom is small. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and plenty to eat. There was no problem finding a parking space after coming back from the theme parks. At check in I was provided wtih information about free shuttle service. There’s a Walgreens, Wendy’s, Burger King, Starbucks, Golden Corral, and a Mobil gas station are nearby. You can walk to the stores, restaurant, and fast food places. The free shuttle service does pick you up from the hotel and will take you to Universal Studios, City Walk, Sea World, and Aquatic. The shuttle picks up early from Sea World. So if you want to stay late you will not be able to do so.

Great service and location

My family of five recomend this hotel 100%.They have a very friendly and helpful staff. The lacation is great if visiting Universal studios, almost right at the entrance. Beds are comfortable,nice pool, also very important you get a free continental buffet every morning with something for everyone which saves you money.Free shuttle service to parks and parking is complimentary. GREAT STAY !

A good hotel

I did like the hotel, however I would like the front desk staff to be a little more upfront with information related to transportation to the various theme parks. No one told us we could take a shuttle; therefore we paid $12.00 twice to park at the parking lot. The breakfast in the morning was awesome, especially the cinnamon rolls. The rooms were a little bit smaller than I would have liked but they were very clean and comfortable.

Ask about shuttles to the City Walk and Universal Studios. The parking is $12.00 during the day and goes down to $3.00 after 6:00 p.m.

Very reasonably-priced

The best aspect of the hotel was the comfortable room. The beds & pillows were quite cozy and they had a lot of towels prepared. And we loved the free Wifi. The place is really close by Universal Studios where we went to during the entire stay. And there was Wendy’s right beside the hotel. The staff was friendly. The free parking was also good but they usually run out of space esp. if you get in late at night already. We had to park at their affiliated hotel, which was just nearby. There was also a time when their vendos ran out of bottled water so we had to bring our own. We also noticed that they only give out 1 set of toiletries even when we were two in the room. The carpets also needed a good washing.

There are a lot of Holiday Inn hotels in the area so be sure to follow your GPS. Else you’ll get to the wrong hotel like we did.

Nice all around

Hotel had a very nice breakfast in the morning, staff did not hesitate to take care of all my needs, overall a wonderful location, central to everything i needed to do in Orlando! Also right across from Universal Studios so that was a plus when i got drunk it was easy to get back to the hotel.

A water mess

I do not recommend this hotel. I stayed at this particular hotel for 2 nights, and one of the water pipes burst or something happened with the plumbing. Needless to say, my suitcase and paperwork were on the floor, which were completely soaked. They called maintenance, but did not offer to discount my room or give any kind of reimbursment. Very dissatisfied.

great location

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Also they give you a good breakfast for free. The employees were nice and courteous. Although, we took the shuttle for free we could have walked to Universal park. I highly recommended.

Sleep Inn - Underconstruction

We have stayed at this hotel in the past. Although the room was clean, we were not aware it was under renovations at the time of booking. We wanted a pool for the kids but it was usable. The management should of offered discount rates since all the guest had to maneuver around all the construction zones. This is a good hotel if you only need a clean room to sleep and nothing else.

Never Go Back

First off I asked for a non-smoking room (no smoking required by Fla. law)and ended up in a smoke filled room. Changed room to one that was NOT in the best condition! Bathroom door would open half way,none of the lamps were pluged in,lamps were very dusty(dirty),hallway was noisey,TV next door blared until 2am,broken luggage rack.Bad experience! Front desk said sorry about that!!!

Nice place.

Hotel was very nice and clean. It was a great place to stay for one night. There was not much to do at the hotel. They were doing some renovations, so the game room and the gym were being used as storage areas. Just off of the beaten path witch was nice. Universal Studios and plenty of places to eat less than a mile away.

Very accomodating

My husband and I enjoyed the comfort of a suite during our four night stay. The room was comfortable, clean and smelled fresh. I commend housekeeping for not waking us at early hours to clean but waiting until we were out and about before entering to clean our room. Very relaxing. Thanks Sleep Inn for a pleasant stay.
