Wow! Great hotel...what a view!

Such a gorgeous hotel with an extremely accomodating staff! The subway station is literally across the street as well as one of the most beautiful plazas and two beautiful historic churches. (Get a room facing Mohrenstrasse)Plenty of great restaurants nearby...I strongly and sincerely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Berlin. Note: mini bar works on lasers, even if you don’t consume, don’t move items!

Many attractions and neighborhoods are within walking distance such as Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, the Reichstag, the Tiergarten...but you can also rent bikes or just as easily take the subway...very easy to navigate!

Great hotel with a great location.

The hotel is located next to the Gardenplatz and an easy walking distance to many other interesting Berlin sites. U-Tube line is one block away. The hotel staff was very helpful in locating sites. The rooms were very clean and quiet. Many fine resturants within a short walking distance.

great centrally located hotel

this is a great hotel, very centrally located on one of the most beautiful squares of Berlin. it has all modern conveniences such as HDTV, pool and sauna.... as well as various restaurants. we didnt eat in the hotel, but there is a variety of very good restaurants in walking distance, which we frequented.

More than I expected

The location is fabulous,everything is within waking distance,the metro station is in front of the hotel,the employees at counter area are very friendly, the concierge are great,very helpful and cooperative. My only complaint is that breakfast is very expensive. You do have some alternatives around that you can explore nearby. I recommend this hotel and I will stay on it again as I have the opportunity.

Perfect Location But Hilton’s 5th Star is Tarnishing a Bit

Absolutely perfect location in the heart of the best sites in Berlin - walking distance to museums, Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate. Excellent shopping as well as lots of cafes and restaurants steps away. Ubahn access across the street; bus access just a few blocks away, making the rest of Berlin highly accessible. Inside, the room was a bit disappointing for a 5 star hotel - although a decent size, chair fabric was stained, carpets a bit tired, desk chair very uncomfortable. Aside from the room, just about everything else is extra - continental breakfast is very expensive (25 euros), access to the steam room (15 euros). Our room lock broke and could not be fixed, so we had to be moved to another room that although promised to be quiet proved to be noisy. At a 5 star rating we have high expectations; Hilton has some work to do to regain its rating.

Berlin’s public transportation system is fabulous - buy the 4 pack of tickets to save a few euros over buying them individually - you need one for each direction you go on each day.

ubahn is directly outside the hotel’s door allowing you to go anywhere in the city for just 2.6 Euros great deal. My wife toured the entire city while I worked and had a great time

Excellent Hotel!

This is a great property, the pool is excellent,I am a Diamond Member so access was complimentary, the exce lounge is excellent, the location is fabulous. Traver Vics and Branderberg Restaurants in the hotel are a bit price but worth it, there are a dozen places outside the hotel within 1 minute walking distance that are way cheaper. Excellent, will visit again....

perfect location

This hotel is right in the middle of the centre. All local attractions in walking distance. Altought it was freezing outside we had a wonderfull stay here. U-bahn across the hotel. Good hotel. Only thing, breakfast is really expensive.

This is a great hotel for business or pleasure. Located in the heart of the city...a convenient walk or subway ride to all the sites. Great shopping nearby. For personal travel, I personally felt it was too pricey.

NOT DISAPPOINTED

I took my grandaughter for her 21 first birthday and I was not embarrassed, I felt as if my gift was first class. I was extremely pleased with the staff, their focus and commitment of service, location, comfort, maid service and metro right outside the hotel! Lots of places to dine, shop, and explore! Would recommend and stay again!

Several places in the area for light breakfast (sweat rolls, coffee and OJ) instead of the Hotel breakfast if not included in your rate. Take the walking tours of the city they give you more information and a personal touch instead of the hop on hop off bus tours.

Friendly staff who seem genuinely eager to please

This hotel is located in Stadtmitte ("city middle"), and is only a short walk from Checkpoint Charlie, (which divided East and West Berlin for so long), the magnificent Brandenburg Gate, and the breathtaking Holocaust Memorial. The hotel itself is quite a lavish affair (my first experience with four-star), with staff who seem to want to go out of their way to provide the utmost in customer satisfaction. Being a bit of a party animal, I was out until fairly late over my three nights there. It was a welcome pleasure to find bottles of complimentary spring water on the table when I returned from my afternoon walk/dinner. It was as though they knew that I would appreciate the extra hydration (I guess they’d also noticed that I’d raided the mini-bar on my first night). The room was comfortable, especially the bed - very cozy. The only thing that made me drop my overall rating (and "Comfort of room" rating) was that the water pressure from the shower wasn’t brilliant. Everything else was super. Heartily recommended.

If you’re going to be there for 72 hours, be sure to pick up a "Visitor’s Ticket" for public transport. It costs about 25 euros, and gives you unlimited access to all of Berlin’s modes of transport.

Berlin Hilton Hotel was luxury at a motel 6 price. This hotel’s staff, public areas and rooms were immaculate, accommodating, and welcoming. The staff made every effort to make each member of my family feel like royalty. The public areas (dining areas, pool, & exercise room) were large, beautiful, and gorgeous. Our suite was amazing! We looked out onto Gendarmenmarkt. The U-Bahn stop was out the front door and we were centrally located. We will now only stay at a Hilton Hotel no matter where we go!

Staying at the Hilton Hotel in Berlin is centrally located. The public transportation is within feet of the front door. By staying at this hotel, you can also skip the public transportation and easily walk to any one of the notable sites, shopping areas, and events (all within a mile (Brandenburg Tor, Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, Reichstag, TV Tower, Topography of Terror, Jewish Museum, and Unter den Linden). Just take the U-Bahn for the nightlife area (KoDamm).

Great Hotel, Great Location

This Hotel is located right in the center of all attractions. While not in a particularly flashy neighborhood itself, it is very easy to go to any of the top attractions from this hotel, and the U-bahn is directly across the street, along with the National Symphony Hall. Food is varied and quite delicious. The staff is friendly and Engish is spoken very well. A great hotel.

Don’t be put off by all the construction around the city. Berlin seems to be a city in flux; construction is just part of the city’s ambience. The city becomes magical at night.

Great location, spa and other immenities. The rooms were very comfortable, spa and pool area were extremely relaxing. Nice choice of restaurants, close to some key sight seeing areas. Right next to the metro as well.

Smoke gets in your eyes in 5 star Berlin

Wonderful hotel in the center of Berlin - excellent location! But the cigarette smoke everywhere in the hotel lobby area was terrible, certainly not a place for anti-smokers or asthmatics.

A well-positioned and comfortable hotel

The Berlin Hilton, in my experience, was a comfortable and well-sited hotel, exceedingly close to public transport (the U-Bahn was directly out the front door), and within walking distance of much of interest in Berlin Mitte. The rooms, though not overly large, were of a comfortable size, with a good deal of storage space for clothes, good mirrors, and well-lit bathrooms. I found the bed in my room quite comfortable, though I might have wished for stronger air-conditioning (it was quite warm during my recent stay in Berlin). The hotel is large, and rooms are built around two interior courts, which can make for a long stroll from the elevators, depending on the location of one’s room. Housekeeping was quite good - unobtrusive, though I was out of the room a good part of the day, and the front desk staff and concierge staff were both helpful. I ate at two of the hotel restaurants, Mark Brandenburg, and Ristorante Fellini, and found both to be surprisingly good for hotel restaurants, with excellent service.

For breakfast, go to Mohring’s Cafe, on Charlottenstrasse - a much better value than the Hilton. For public transport, if one is going to be out touring, get a Tageskarte for the U- and S-Bahns - a good value over individual trip cards.

Beautiful City

The hotel was excellent. It was perfectly located in the historical surroundings of Berlins Mohrenstrabe.
