Not what we expected
The room was small and dark. The elevator doors were covered in graffiti. Elevators were slow and service was minimal. The neighborhood is a busy shopping district but there aren’t many good restaurants nearby. We had to double park to unload baggage and trundle it to the front door through a smoky outdoor bar area.

NEVER go there again
Find somewhere else. For that price, in that hotel??????? They call it a four star hotel, it’s not even two star hotel!!! Becareful, they charge you A LOT for any phone call from your room. The bed was the worst. The mattress, if I can call it a mattress, was old old old old old. I was sleeping on the floor!!!! NEVER go there again...

I asked for a double bed room, they gave me a single bed room for the same price and told me that it wouldn’t matter what I wanted, they would give me what ever they have!!!!???

Would never go back
After a nice stay in a 3 star hotel in Genoa, Grand Hotel Puccini was a complete disappointment. I would not give more than 3 stars to this hotel. They do not say that wireless in the lobby is not for free, even for 5 minutes they charge 5 EUR (with no receipt).
Traveler's tip
If you are non-smoker, you risk of getting a room on 2nd floor, and with no window (non-transparent glass window, opening to a construction site).
