Nice stay
We had a great view of S.M. Maggiore from our window. We loved having two sinks in the bathroom. The location is convenient to the Termini, the Metro, and the Forum. While the neighborhood further away from the church seems more run-down than the last time we stayed here, it felt safe and comfortable near the hotel and in the opposite direction. I don’t understand the glass half wall in the shower, which resulted in water everywhere, but it’s a common shower type in Italy. Reception staff spoke English, which was helpful. They could, however, be a bit more helpful and friendly. There’s a great pizza place left, left, and left once out the hotel doors. We have stayed here in the past and will most likely stay again.

Excellent Hotel
The Hotel Mecenate Palace is an excellent hotel. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel and we are already booked to stay there again on our next trip to Rome this year. The Hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of all the major sites in Rome. The staff is professional and courteous. The hotel is neat, clean and quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Rome as the place to stay. I have stayed at 4 other hotels before finding the Hotel Mecenate Palace and this is the one I continue to go back too.
