We cannot wait to go back! It was a great place to stay-close to Universal Studios.

It was a great experience. I met a lot of great people. I was locked out and I woke up a staff member at 12midnight. He had also been so kind as to help me start my car the day before. Everyone was so helpful. I felt right at home.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Definitely go to Walmart and stock up on groceries. There is a full kitchen so you can make breakfast and lunch.

Excellent Stay!!!

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was quiet. Not too far from Universal and surrounding theme parks. I stayed in the one bedroom condo. The bed was comfy, full kitchen, pull out sofa in living room, and 2 bathrooms. Loved the whirlpool tub, it was very relaxing after a long day at the parks. Very nice for such an affordable price! I will definitely book another stay.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

This place has a full kitchen and nearby grocery stores. Therefore you can by food and cook it,dont waste money on eating out.

What a DUMP!!!!

I have never been in such a horrible place in my life! It was right off a street with 5 strip clubs, we felt like we were in the ghetto. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you have children. We didnt even feel comfortable here. We also didnt realize that these were apartments or long term rentals....Over all we felt very uncomfortable here, we ended up leaving days early and getting a different hotel. WE THINK IT SHOULD HAVE ZERO STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Westgate’s cool

Was very good and especially for what was paid I was more than happy. The room itself was spacious and clean. With a king size matress and TV in the bedroom and livingroom it was nice. It also had 1 1/2 baths, a kitchen and 1 DVD player. There was a glass enclosed shower, which was nice and a hot tub. The linens on the bed were clean but, the extra ones in the closet had hair and what looked like armpit stains. Overall the hotel area was quiet and I felt secure and content with it.

Traveler Beware this hotel shuts down at 5pm

Yes, they tell you to contact them 48 hours in advance due to their ONLY Front Desk person leaves at 5pm. However, if your travel plans have the slightest risk of getting you to the hotel after 5pm (Late Flight, for instance), I would not risk booking this hotel. The Front Desk number provided an emergency number, which did not answer, but provided another emergency number and hung up. I called the second emergency number which did not answer, but provided another emergency number and hung up. This time they let me leave a message, but they NEVER called back. I ended up booking at a different hotel, since first they are out of the way and second I couldn’t reach anybody. Check out time is 10am, every half hour delayed is an addition overpriced charge. There were 4 lamps in the condo, 1 lightbulb worked. Bottom Line Don’t risk it!

Average

You get what you pay for. I was pleasantly surprised by the 2 bathrooms, the full kitchen and spa tub. The sheets/bedding wasn’t very comfortable, but it was a King, the carpet had stains on it but otherwise it was pretty clean. If you are low maintenance and just looking for a place to stay I’d recommend it. If you don’t need much from the staff you will be fine (no maid service, room service, they leave at 5pm). I am sure there are nicer places to stay closer to the attractions though. But again, you get what you paid for. As far as the area - it’s not the best. I was afraid after the reviews I had read, but no one bothered us. But it’s definitely in & around not the best part of town. But it is near EVERYTHING! Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Dining, Coffee. I’d recommend it, though if I had to do this over, I’d try and go closer to the Disney attractions. It took us about 30 mins to get to Disney. Closer to Seaworld. Grade: B-

Traveler's tip on dining

Eat at Village Tavern. Excellent food and service! Eat at Waffle House! We don’t have those around my area and I wish they did! YUM!

simple and excellent

The hotel was great, let me check in early. Place was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful. The only wish was some type of internet connection which through me off because I expected all hotels now have some kind of connection even if it costs.

Very affordable

We spent a week at the Westgate Orlando Club. The area is a bit of concern however we felt safe on the property and in our room. The rooms were large -- actually it was a large one bedroom apartment. The whirlpool bath was a nice feature.

For the price, it was ok!

My stay at Orlando’s Westgate Club was ok. It was conveniently located to the attractions in Orlando. The rooms were fairly clean and the price was great. The only problem I experienced was my key card not working properly, which was taking care of immediately.

Very Nice Hotel

The hotel was very nice. Our room was comfortable and it felt like a home away from home. The t.v. in the living room was a little out dated but the one in the bedroom was nice and big. The only thing the hotel should have more of is hotel staff. One night there was a storm and our key to our hotel room was not working. It took an hour to talk to someone and to get the security guard to come and open our door. It is in a nice area and right down the street from The Mall of Millenia. We were 10 to 20 minutes from all the parks. The staff on hand were extremely nice and helpful. There were no problems with getting extra pillows, blankets or towels. The garbage was taken out everyday and all of our needs were met with things pertaining to the kitchen such as dishsoap, paper towels and so on. I would definitely stay there again.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

Close to the parks such as Universal Studios, Disney World

It was a good learning experiance

When you read about this place on line it seems like a perfect place to be. However when you arrive, your totally disappointed. It is far away from everything, it is in one of the worse parts of Orlando. They say residential, unfortuantely they dont mention that its considered the "ghetto". I guess being greeted by the armed security guard should have been a good indicater of the neighborhood. Their was plenty of space in the room but everything was way out dated including the 13 inch TV they have in the living room.

Not impressed

Not located in the best part of town. Everything in the room was so-so. Could use a new matteress. The room was spacious & clean, but just not very cozy. I went for a weekend stay because we were visiting a theme park.

Traveler's tip on shopping

It is near the Mall of Millenia.

Best Budget Deal and most comfortable stay in Orlando

I attend an annual convention in Orlando every year and have stayed in a ton of places. This is the best ever! Every detail is included in this room. A huge bedroom with Jacuzzi tub, walk in closet, television, in room safe, and DVD player. A large living room with hide a bed sofa, 2nd television, 2nd DVD player. Dining room. A fully stocked kitchen area... all of your dishes, pots, pans silverware ect., coffee maker (with coffee) microwave, toaster, dish soap, trash bags, laundry detergent..you name it. There is a second large bathroom with a big walk-in shower. A second large closet contains an ironing board and iron, fire extinguisher, brooms, mops, dustpans, ect. The unit was spotlessly clean (you could walk around barefoot and have clean feet) and modern. Lots and lots of towels, washclothes, & extra blankets. Some of the reviews I read indicated that the neighborhood was less than desirable, this is NOT TRUE! I am a retired police chief and I saw no signs of crimal activity or police presence. I did see a typically urban mixture of people on their way to work and children walking to school. The neighborhood and property felt much safer than the places near the resort corridors. The foot patrols of the on-site security officer were highly visable and offered added protection to the vehicles of the guests. If you are looking for a roomy, comfortable, and safe budget stretching accomadation this is the place. We plan to use this facility for all of our annual trips.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

If you plan to visit area attractions, check out the official Orlando visitors center on International Drive. You can buy all of your admission tickets there at discount prices (a couple bucks off, up to about ten off). Make sure it is center ran by the city visitors authority, avoid the psuedo visitor centers that are just front men for timeshare salesmen. Remember..THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS $10 DISNEY WORLD TICKETS!

Quiet, spacious and comfortable

If you do not mind being in a residential neighborhood, this place is great. We wanted to be away from the bustle of popular-tourist Orlando and this worked out perfectly. The Florida Mall and local grocery stores are very near and major highways are close-by. The grounds are well-kept and the rooms are equipped with a full kitchen including dishes and cookware, two bathrooms, separate living room and bedroom, lots of closet space and a large spa tub. The floors were not immaculate and the furniture seemed a bit old, but our stay was well worth the very low price. We love Westgate properties.

Traveler's tip

The property is in a residential area - it is in between an upper-middle class section of town and a less affluent neighborhood. The property is monitored by cameras and there is night-time security on site so you can feel safe staying here in spite of the out-of-the-way location.

Not impressed

When I found this place on expedia I was very excited, I read all the reviews I saw the other Westgate resorts and very optimistic. When we finally arrived I was very let down. Although it was somewhat nice and provided us with alot of space, we did find it to be dirty. The staff was very shady and we think that people live their. It is also in a residential area and very hard to get back to the highway. Although if you are looking for some with a little extra space then a hotel can offer or some thing cheap then this is your place. It also had a pull out couch and a 2nd bathroom. Which makes female preperation more bearable.

Perfect Getaway

We were pleasantly surprised when we first entered our condo. The room was very clean and completely exceeded our expectations. I consider Club Orlando the "Perfect Getaway" because it was quiet, neat, no interference from the rooms around us, private entrance, everything was just perfect for us.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

We didn’t have a rental car the first couple of days so we had to use the city bus to take to International Drive. The bus stop is right in front in the hotel and we didn’t have to change buses to get to I-Drive. We spent three days here, we went to Wonderworks, which I highly recommend for families or couples, Ripley’s Believe or Not was fun and there are tons of shopping places in that area.

Watch the neighborhood

The hotel itself was wonderful and with the security guard you feel very safe. However, there were some pretty shadie areas very near by.

Traveler's tip on dining

The Pirate Dinner theater was very entertaining and worth the price. If you want to go out anywhere nice you are going to pay the same amount. At least this way you get entertainment too.
