Nice beach hotel in Hiroshima

A little out of the way,. A good idea if you’re going to stay in Hiroshima for a few dyas. The restaurants are way too expensive for the quality, but the rooms (especially corner rooms with double ocean view) ) are great, the onsen /sauna is pretty good, and the convenience of having a dock right outside the hotel is unbeatable

Traveler's tip on dining

skip the hotel restaurants. Although it is quite a ride to go to town for a meal, it will be worth it

Very nice hotel

Located on a point in Hiroshima harbor, the hotel is outside the hubbub of Hiroshima city and surrounded by greenery and the ocean. Excellent access by jet boat to Miya Jima, though not quite so easy to get to the major tourist areas of the city. There is bus and taxi service but you won’t be walking anywhere close by. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel restaurants are good, but expensive. Some shopping on site. The room was small, but quite cozy and well furnished.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

The best reason to stay at this hotel is the hourly jet boat to Miya Jima. Three thousand yen for round-trip hotel to island service. The standard JR ferry service from the city is cheaper, but the boat that stops at the hotel dock is very convenient.

Good Hotel except ....l

The hotel is very modern and spacious, especially good for conventions. The promenade by the sea was very scenic and enjoyable. However, we note the following six points: 1) Cost of meals seemed excessive and we did not eat one meal at any of the restaurants. 2) Shopping was limited to about a half dozen boutique type clothing stores. 3) Bowling at 600 yen a agme is excessive. 4) A reasonably priced coffee shop by American standards would been nice for a light breakfast and/or afternoon tea/coffee. 5) A free periodic shuttle to the mid-town train station would have made our stay much more pleasant. 6) While the ferry stop at the hotel pier is convenient, the cost of the ferry ride to Mayijima Island needs to be more price competitive to the 10 minute ferry from Hiroshima.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Provide a free periodic shuttle to the train station in midtown Hiroshima.
