Bad experience
Upon walking into room it looked nice but hard surfaces were not cleaned. There were drink rings and spills left on coffee table, desk and night stand. Something brown had been spilled down side of the dresser. Bathroom needs to be updated...tub cracked, floor not cleaned. Its nice that the vanity is outside the bathroom; but there is absolutely no counter space. Beds comfortable enough, however loud guests from party down stairs were inconsiderate as they continued the party upstairs. We had decided to stay here since room had two queen size beds and sofa bed. When we pulled out the sofa bed it was not made up and there were no sheets to be found in the room. We had friends that were also staying at the hotel and said that when they pulled out their sofa bed, not only was it not made up and no sheets, but they found a childs clothes and crackers and crumbs in their sofa bed. I had called before making reservation to find out when breakfast was served on Sunday. I was told over the phone and at check-in it starts at 6:30. This was perfect since we needed to leave the hotel by 7:00. When we came down at 6:30 it was not ready, nor was it ready when we left the hotel at 7:00. The girl that was setting up was very rude. The front desk staff was friendly and considerate. Thank goodness we were only there for one night. I would certainly hope that this was unusual for this property. We would not stay here again.

Convenient Location, Comfortable Stay
We recently visited in January. This hotel is about 10 minutes from downtown Allentown and about 15 from Bethlehem (both are super easy to get to.) We recieved a really decent rate but saw on the hotel room door that high season rates (during summer) are more than triple what we paid in January (WAY too much for what you are getting, even though it is right across from Dorney Park!) The rooms are spacious and clean. However, there are no updated ammenities at all; The TVs are ancient and we had to shake it a couple of times in order to get the lines to go away. The walls are somewhat thin, but if you turn the air or heat on, you will be fine. There is a bar in the hotel which turns into a dance club at night with SUPER loud, thumping music at night (which you walk by as you go through the main entrance.) You wont hear it in your room though, so its not a huge deal, just a little strange for a Comfort Suites I thought. The road in front of the hotel is one way, but there is a U-Turn opportunity not far down the street so its not a big deal. There are MORE than enough restaurants, ice cream, grocery stores, and other stores right near by which is great! Very convenient to the highway and the Lehigh Valley hospital, in case those factor into your stay. Overall, its a nice, basic hotel (clean, basic scratchy comforter, outdated TV, furniture) but without any extra upgrades or newer ammentities you see at other hotels in the same class.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The Lehigh Valley Mall is about 8 miles away and has every store you can imagine. Try Allentown Brew Works or Bethlehem Brew Works for lunch or dinner. THE best food and drinks (not to mention atmosphere) around this area! We try to come back once a year just to visit Brew Works!!!
