great for a quick weekend
We stayed at the hotel bernina for one night over a weekend, just to see Geneva for a weekend trip. I loved it’s accessibility to the train station - we had been on a three hour train ride, so walking up to the hotel was nice. We must have been on a far side of the hotel, because we did not hear any noise at night, very quiet. We stayed there in October, so we were neither bothered by lack of heat, or too much heat. Room was very clean, beds were very comfy. Breakfast was fine, nice to have a little something before heading out to sight see. The hotel clerk provided us with a 2 day transportation pass that allowed us access to all the buses! That was a great surprise. Overall, we were happy with our stay. Rooms were small, as most euro hotels, but adequate for us for one night.

All squeezed in!!
This hotel is directly opposite the train station, so is conveniently located. The rooms however are very small, no air circulation, so very hot. The windows open, but the street noise will keep you awake, as will your neighbouring room mates both above and either side, as the walls are paper thin. The beds just about pass as a single size and the pillow and quilt are just as small. The bathroom was passable although grubby. Not one to recommend.

Very Happy
Overall the Bernina was a very nice hotel and in an extremely convenient location (literally right across from the Geneva Central train station) and in close walking proximity to what you might need and want (restaurants, the Lake, the shopping areas). Courteous front desk staff, comfortable bed, etc. Was extremely pleased...Good value for the money.
