Grace under pressure
We arrived at the hotel and were pleased with the welcome and the room. We were in town for a family reunion and really only needed the room as a place to sleep. At about 3:15 in the morning, the fire alarm went off. I had been sound asleep, and thought it was the alarm clock. I carefully opened the door a crack, and saw what looked like smoke at the end of the hall. My husband, son, and I went quickly down the stairs to the outside. Thankfully, it wasn’t raining, and we watched as the fire trucks came. Long story, but I have to commend the staff for how well they handled this incident. Most people could go back to their rooms after about an hour. (there was no fire...but the halon system had been tampered with) Since we were on the floor where that took place, we had to be assigned a new room. It took a while, but the staff did what they could to get us comfortable once again...not an easy task. And yes, I would absolutely go back there.
